Welcome to Boy Scouts of America Troop-343.com

 

The Boy Scouts of America Troop 343 is based in Hauppauge, NY and services Hauppauge and the surrounding communities. Through our active boys, active parents and active leaders, we maintain a fun and safe environment that teaches our young mean the value and morals they need to become outstanding citizens in our community, nation and the world.

 

Troop 343 meets on a regular basis throughout the year, typically on Friday evenings at the Forest Brook Elementary School gym at 7:30 pm.

 

Troop 343 maintains an active year-round program. Examples of some of the activities include:

  • Monthly camping trips

  • Day trips

  • High Adventure trips, including Sea Base (Florida Keys) and Philmont (New Mexico)

  • Annual week-long summer camp at the Boy Scout camp in Minsi, PA

  • Miscellaneous outdoor activities such as climbing, hiking, biking, ski trips and whitewater rafting

  • Community-oriented service projects

  • Participation in various fund-raising activities.

We believe every young boy has the potential to become a strong, compassionate, and capable leader. Through mentorship, outdoor adventures, and character-building activities, we empower each scout to define their future and positively impact the world.
